Scot Gelzinis is our veteran guitar instructor of 17 years at Ear Craft Music. He utilizes a hands-on, practical approach to teaching music that builds fundamentals and advanced techniques. Scot encourages his students to establish their own musical interests and identity by illustrating how their favorite music is structured and performed. This method of guitar lessons has been proven to produce great results with guitarists of all ages and skill levels.
Scot specializes in current & classic genres, from Hard Rock to Country, both electric and acoustic. He regularly performs across New England as the lead guitarist for the bands FORMIDABLE, and MANIACAL.
Matthew Lister graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in Music Performance for the Classical Guitar. He has been teaching and performing throughout New England for over ten years. In addition to classical music Matthew Lister is also adept at playing rock, jazz, celtic, flamenco, blues, ragtime, folk, country… You name the genre, Matt can do it.
Whether you’re a beginner trying to get your feet wet or an experienced guitarist trying to reach the next level Matt can help you out. He a strong sight reader and can help you develop musical literacy on the guitar during your guitar lessons. Chris graduated from the University of Vermont in 2015 with a bachelors degree in Music Performance specializing in jazz guitar. During his time at UVM Chris began teaching private lessons at the Contois School of Music in Essex, VT. He has over 10 years of experience playing professionally all over the Northeast, most recently as a member of the Burlington, VT based band: smalltalker. Aside from jazz, Chris specializes in teaching rhythm and lead guitar in the style of funk, r&b, blues, rock and country.
As an instructor, Chris strives to create an atmosphere that is both fun and disciplined. He believes that musical enjoyment can increase exponentially with practice and understanding.
